Wow, it's been so long since I've written! We have had the craziness few months, and things are finally settling down.
At the end of January we lost our little dog Moxy to the highway behind my family's house. It was the most heartwrenching experience. After a little time I started to look hard for a show dog, after about a month of endless looking we decided to get a shelter dog and we got Aspen, our Aussie/cattledog mix! She's about 9 months old and has been a great addition to our family.
Around this time Rico got a call for his pharmacy school interview, while getting through a crazy busy semester. His interview went well and he got into Pharmacy school! He is now finishing up with finals and has an interview at McKay Dee hospital for an intern position. He hopes to be able to work at Primary children's or McKay Dee. He has had a fantastic semester, but is very ready to be done with school and have a break. He's been doing school full time all year round for two years now! I'm really proud of him for all his hard work and getting into Pharmacy school on his first attempt, he's pretty fantastic!
At the beginning of March we got a bit of a surprise, we found out we were pregnant! It was an exciting, nerve wracking time, but it was not long lived. After about a month I began bleeding and having serious cramps, and we ended up miscarrying. It was a hard experience- you get used to the idea, you make plans, and then it all sort of stops. For now we'll focus on continuing with our lives, and we'll look at starting our family down the road. My hope is to adopt, and we very well might adopt in a year or two. We'll see what God does in our lives!
Almost right in the middle of the miscarriage I had my real estate exam scheduled (I finished my classes in early March) and managed to pass it despite how I was feeling. Now I've gotten started with JTM program with Coldwell Banker and I am loving it! I love being a real estate agent and I am thrilled to be getting such great training to better help serve my future clients.
In addition to some of these things we had the Welsh Springer National at the beginning of April and Tasha's daddy Gavin one the entire specialty, it was great! Congrats to Kit and Gavin!
Also!!! We closed on our first home on Friday! I just found out that everything has funded and recorded, so it's ours! I'm going to go start cleaning today and we'll be moving in this week, we're really excited!! We'll have pictures soon after we do some painting etc.
So that has been our crazy 2010 so far. Some great, so definitely not so great, but all in all we are as happy as ever together and are looking forward to more adventures in life together.
God bless you all!!!

Those herding/ cattle dogs really need to be worked hard every day, otherwise they get into mischief. Always be teaching it new tricks, and keep it current on it's old tricks. Then you will have a well behaved dog.
