Haftmann life this fall

Today I am 17 weeks pregnant!  (The picture is at 16 weeks though)  Second trimester has continued to rock, with the exception of the aches and pains in my lower belly.  Everything is stretching out, but overall it's nothing compared to the nausea of first trimester.  I'll take a little discomfort any day!  Here and there over the past two weeks or so I've felt things that I'm pretty sure are the baby.  As time passes I'm beginning to be more sure, though it's hard to be sure.  It's neat though, and only time will tell if that's what I'm really feeling!  In just less than two weeks we'll be finding out the baby's gender, which I'm really excited for!  Rico and I are going to be so thrilled either way, we're honestly so excited for both possibilities!  Growing up I always thought I'd want a girl, but now that I'm pregnant I've actually thought more about what it might be like to have a boy.  Honestly I'm just so happy the baby is so healthy, and whatever gender it turns out to be will be such an adventure either way I'm sure! 

Rico started Pharmacy school about a month ago now, and it's been going really well.  So far the content of his classes isn't that difficult, it's just a lot of stuff!  He rides front runner and trax most days, which is great because he's able to get quite a bit of homework done before getting home.  He's done fantastically so far, he's proving to be at the top half of the class for sure, and I couldn't be more proud of him.  He is still an intern at Primary Children's medical center, and is excelling there as well.  There is going to be a lot of great opportunity for him there as he progresses through school, and when he's done he'll not only be coming from a top school, but also a top hospital.  The pay is great too, so all around a good situation for us!

I've been able to do a lot more work lately, though it's slow coming.  Real estate is a fantastic job on the one hand, but the prospecting and the waiting that comes with it are not so great.  In addition to real estate and getting more busy there, I've been doing a lot of necessary upkeep things recently.  Both cars needed work, we've put in insulation in the attic, we have to have a tree guy come out, dog grooming/training, we joined a local dog training club, and general house upkeep type stuff.  I've been trying to take care of most of that sort of stuff being that Rico is so busy with school and work.  I personally hate not having things to do so it's been good to get some much needed things done recently.

That's about it.  Beyond the pregnancy nothing terribly exciting is happening with us.  Honestly we like it that though.  We're just enjoying our lives together and seeing where God takes us!
