Update

So... not very good about blogging!  Oh well, here's what we've been up to!

Tomorrow I'll be 27 weeks pregnant!  On the one hand time is going by very quickly, on the other I'm so ready to be done and it feels like I'll never be normal again at this rate!  13 weeks left though, is definitely better than when I was on the flip side and had 27 to go.  Anyway, things have been going really well.  Pregnancy comes with some annoying realities, you can pretty much assume something is going to hurt each day, but all is completely worth it of course!  My back hurts a fair amount sometimes, I get a headache about once a week, my feet get really sore after work, and I'm really not a fan of her pushing on my lungs so I end up short of breath.  But all in all I've been pretty lucky, just a few little things that aren't so fun, but at the same time there are kicks, rolls, and jabs from her that are wonderful!!!

We had our target ultrasound at 20 weeks and found out it was a girl!  We also got reassured that everything is going really well with her, she's just perfect and all tests we have had done have come back completely normal!  This is such an absolute blessing, we are so thankful that she's healthy!!  We have 3 names that we are considering for her at this point, Mariah, Cassidy, and Brynlee.  Mariah is one we've liked for a long time and we think it's really pretty, Cassidy is spunky and I have a great, great grandmother who's name was Cassie, and Brynlee is kind of the happy medium of the two for us right now, it's got the sweetness of Mariah, but with a little strong sound like Cassidy.  The middle name will be Jane for sure, we just have to pick a first name.  I don't know if we'll be able to decide for sure before she's here or not.

I just drank down my glucose tolerance drink just now, fruit punch flavored- VERY sweet.  My grandma mentioned how this test made her nauseous when she did it, which of course freaked me out a bit because I really HATE being nauseous (you'd think after 8 weeks of it I'd be over that!).  However I've not heard that from anyone in my generation as I think they've significantly improved it since then.  So far so good for me!

We painted the baby's nursery recently and also got up an absolutely darling border.  I really love it, and am looking forward to getting other things in there to complete the look.

Other than that... Rico is doing fabulously in school.  It is tough for sure, and incredibly busy with all the things they make them commit to, but he is so amazing at it all.  His grades are really good and he's learning so much!  I'm SOO proud of him!  He's also staying strong at work despite all the time commitments he has with school, in fact he's almost done with the hours he has to complete for his internship.  He'll maintain it throughout pharmacy school of course, but he's only required to do 600 hours and he's almost done!  In addition to being amazing in school and work, he has been perfect throughout the pregnancy- helping me, giving massages, being continuously patient... etc.  He's such a blessing, I thank God for such a wonderful husband every day!!!

Other than pregnancy related things, and doing things like registering for our baby registry, I've recently started a seasonal job at Macys.  I basically stock the floor and it gives me something extra to do for a few weeks.  There are the nicest people at Macys, and it's nice to have a way to keep active.

God bless!!!
